  • Assist Project Architect(s) in producing schematic design, design development and construction documents for review
  • Assist with contracts administration

Project Architect (Project Engineer)

  • Communicate, interpret and accurately document the client’s needs in a program format

  • Certify construction documents when prepared by you or under your direct supervision
  • Coordinate other consulting project professionals and procure all pertinent project data, site information and code requirements necessary to proper execution of the work

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

  • Project field mobilization and start-up; open and close the jobsite daily
  • Daily supervision, prioritization, and coordination of trades and Owner’s forces to best achieve the project schedule; lead regular trade coordination and safety meetings
  • Complete a daily digital log of all site activities, weather and significant events
  • Be present at the site whenever subcontracted trades are performing work
  • Perform basic building and site layout and verify field engineering performed by others
  • Enforce field compliance with the company Safety Program and other relevant policies
  • Monitor quality assurance standards, meet budgets and deliver goals for assigned projects
  • Verify field work compliance with the project contract documents
  • Coordinate required building permits and inspections and verify code compliance
  • Manage and coordinate field work orders and send all documentation to Project Manager
  • Perform quality assurance inspections and photo documentation on an ongoing basis
  • Continuously prepare accurate “as-built” plans and contract documents
  • Coordinate of final project cleaning for turnover to Owner

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Retain all bills of lading for materials delivered to Panzica and forward to Project Manager
  • Relocate, setup, and maintain field office trailer including daily cleaning
  • Assist in jurisdictional disputes and negotiations as required on union projects
  • Assist Project Architect and Project Manager as necessary to resolve design problems or discrepancies encountered in the field

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and update project cost estimates, budgets, price proposals, and competitive bids
  • Prepare bid scopes, manage subcontractor/supplier vendor selection, solicitation, and bidding
  • Exercise independent judgment in the proper evaluation of and documentation of vendor bids
  • Prepare and administer construction contracts, subcontracts, and manage general requirements
  • Perform project purchasing, cost management and value engineering to maintain budget goals
  • Perform project-level accounting and cost control; review and approve all project payables
  • Prepare, submit for approval, and manage timely project applications for payment
  • Produce and maintain overall project schedules to maintain project goals
  • Manage Superintendents and other Sharjah A.S field personnel for all projects assigned
  • Plan and oversee mobilization/demobilization of project field operations and site logistics
  • Oversee (with the Safety Officer) adherence to Company Safety Program and OSHA compliance
  • Oversee project quality assurance per the Company TQM Program
  • Schedule, manage and document regular project team meetings
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, Owner CRs/COs, subcontractor CRs/COs, cost control and reporting

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

 
  • A 4-year Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture or engineering from an accredited institution, or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience

Working in conjunction with our mechanical construction and trades teams, Sharjah A.S offers professional engineering design services for accurate and cost-effective project documentation, blueprints, permits and planning.

Project Management (MD)

POSITION SUMMARY

This full-charge position is directly responsible for managing multiple medium to large-scale projects designed and/or approved by Sharjah A.S Mechanical Engineering through to completion and delivering each project on time within budget. Assignments generally include such types of work as preparing reports, maintaining records, securing vendor pricing, processing purchase orders, approving invoices, processing change orders, maintaining logs, and maintaining correspondence with owner representatives.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

Responsible for Cost of Goods on all assigned jobs. Maintains, and reviews all RFIs, submittals, substitution requests, change proposals, project schedules, project budgets, purchase orders, and invoices for multiple projects. Analyzes projects to determine scope, cost, and scheduling requirements.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 
  • Will obtain permits from both General Contractors and local jurisdictions.
  • Arranges for returns of unused materials to vendors and ensures credit has been issued.

Responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, servicing and repairing all major brands of commercial HVAC equipment. Work may include commissioning, start up, adjusting, repair, modification and/or replacement of HVAC equipment including inter-connecting piping, electrical and control wiring.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and electrical schematics, blueprints and/or technical manuals to perform necessary work.
  • Conducts preventive maintenance, service, repair and troubleshooting of commercial HVAC equipment and systems.
  • Performs installation of HVAC equipment.
  • Accurately estimates time and material requirements for repairs and replacements.
  • Maintains a complete set of necessary tools applicable to the trade and is proficient in their use.
  • Follows all safety practices and adheres to all safety related policies.

  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of HVAC fundamentals to include thermodynamics and physchrometrics, basic electricity, ability to perform electrical, controls and refrigerant circuit diagnostics.
  • Detailed knowledge of HVAC systems that incorporate Direct Digital Control Systems as part of a computer-based energy management system.
  • Maintenance, repair and diagnostic proficiency on a wide variety of commercial HVAC equipment with cooling capacities in excess of 25-tons such as gas/electric package units, split HVAC Technician - 3 03/22/2019 systems, heat pumps, single and multi-zone ductless split systems and various sizes of pumps and fans.
  • Maintenance, repair and diagnostic proficiency on VAV terminal units, VRF systems, VFD’s, large commercial and industrial boilers, industrial gas and oil burners, all types of data center precision cooling units, commercial humidifiers and dehumidifiers, cooling towers all types of air and water-cooled chillers.
  • Proficiency in the diagnostics, repair and installation of all types of compressors such as reciprocating, scroll, digital scroll, semi-hermetic and screw.

Sharjah A.S, is seeking an Engineering Technician for the Structural Evaluations and the Structural Engineering + Mechanics groups. This position will assist engineers, scientists and project managers with failure investigations and analysis, historic preservation, structural and architectural condition assessments, repair and rehabilitation, and construction materials evaluation in an office, laboratory or field environment.

  • Experience working with popular keyword tools (Google, WordTracker, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
  • Strong ability to upsell additional services when applicable.
  • Knowledge in Google Analytics/Google Web Master tools required.
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and website administrations preferred.
  • Experience with WordPress preferred.
